Teaching: Expectations vs. Reality

Nothing can ever be perfect but my face, bitches! So accept the truth that "you can never achieve perfection" ever!
One of the reasons of our disappointment and frustration is our EXPECTATIONS. Most of the times, we are indenial to ourselves - we often blame others for whatever uncertainties we have in our lives. We often pick something or someone to blame for our stupidity and idiocy. But hey, do we even ask ourselves why we get disappointed? Surely, we don't, as it is easy to just look for thousands of reasons to convince ourselves that it wasn't our fault really than asking this question. Don't worry honey, I am guilty of that myself.
Just like others, I also have an entry for this "Expectations vs. Reality" thingy. Just a bit of a background, I have lost interest in teaching a decade ago. Maybe, because I was already earning more than what guys of my age get. Until, my Aunt who is a Principal told me to take the board exam (LET) since (according to her) my job doesn't guarantee me a good future. I thought of it as pointless and baseless, "why won't it guarantee my future if, what you're earning is just equal to my salary?" "are you telling me, your job as a principal does not also gurantee your future?". "So, why the heck you are telling me to pursue teaching then?". These are just the questions at the back of my mind while deciding whether to take the LET.
Cuting it short, I passed the LET, went to Thailand and start teaching. There I realized, that it really is my calling to be a teacher.
Fast forward, I am already working as a public school teacher. I can say that "Expectations vs Reality" is somehow true. When I started, I have a lot of expectations stuck in me. I kept on complaining about many things. I always did comparing. There were a bunch of regret which I begrudgingly admitted that I have made the worst decision of my life. I was expecting that teaching is just easy because I will just be dealing with young boys and girls, plus with this thing in my mind "I am the boss, yow!". With these, I forgot to prepare myself for a "very-surprisingly-surprise!". On my first year of teaching, I was appalled with so many things. There were colleagues who would trip on you because you're a novice, a cringing process I don't know who to follow and where to head to, mannerless learners that caused me to flex my muscles and many more.
It was a hell of a disaster year for me that I even ask myself, "do I really deserve this?". There's obviously a conflict between the drives of my "id" and the superpower of my "superego". Good thing, my ego didn't let my id overpower my whole being. I was able to understand things and did the right decision.
Do you even wonder who helped me overturn the negativities I had. Simple, the Lord! He's absolutely amazing. He truly won't foresake us, if only and only if we believe in Him. Aside from prayers, reading articles and watching motivational videos helped me realize a lot of things.
Now, tell me. How reality affected you as a person and how did you redeem yourself? There's no other better way to save your self from being dishertened, than accepting the fact that reality is constant and only has one FACE. Actually, reality is not our enemy. Do you want to know who our enemy is? It is OURSELVES, it is our very gullible selves that make us believe on false-reality. False reality that cause us to expect, rather than being contented of what REALITY really serves us.
Save your self and don't be deceived by this false reality. Always find a reason to enjoy life, DO NOT EVER EXPECT, BITCH!
Have your WIT guard you!
